Professor in Environmental Sociology
Description
The Department of Sociology and the Environmental Studies Program invite applications for an open-rank faculty position in environmental sociology to begin in Fall 2024. While open to all topics within environmental sociology, we are particularly interested in scholars who can contribute to interdisciplinary conversations around the issues of climate change, environmental justice and policy, environment and human health, global environmental issues, biodiversity conservation, food and water sustainability, and environmental entrepreneurship. We will also prioritize candidates whose work within environmental sociology intersects with other areas of specialization within the Department of Sociology鈥檚聽graduate program. The tenure line is housed in the Sociology Department, and the position entails half-time teaching in Environmental Studies, which is an undergraduate major, and half-time graduate (Ph.D. and M.A.) and undergraduate teaching in the Department of Sociology.
Qualifications
A Sociology Ph.D. completed, or near completion, is required.
