Volunteer
Every year, hundreds of undergraduate student volunteers bring energy and enthusiasm to the Campus School classrooms through a variety of University service programs. Many of our volunteers describe their time at the Campus School as a formative part of their Boston College experience,聽and some have gone on to pursue careers in special education. Please contact us at cs.volunteers@bc.edu or campusschool@bc.edu with any questions.聽
Founded in 1996, the Campus School Volunteers of Boston College (CSV自慰视频) is composed of 自慰视频 undergraduate volunteers who share the Campus School vision, as well as their talents, time, and commitment to realizing the potential in all students. CSV自慰视频 works to raise awareness about the mission of the Campus School throughout the Boston College and greater Boston community. Composed of eight committees, CSV自慰视频 volunteers fundraise, host events, and engage with students, parents, and staff at CS on a regular basis. CSV自慰视频 members are encouraged to build relationships with students and families and promote opportunities to create and build friendships between Campus School students and Boston College undergraduates; through the Classroom Buddy and Literacy Buddy programs. Campus School students are paired with one or two 自慰视频 students to spend time together working on crafts, reading books, or listening to music. Other community events include holiday parties, semi-formal, broom hockey, trivia, and more. In addition, CSV自慰视频 focuses on several fundraising initiatives includuding the Campus School 5K Run N' Roll, the annual Arts Showcase, trivia nights, and more!
The mission of the Boston College PULSE Program is to educate 自慰视频 undergraduate students about social injustice by putting them into direct contact with marginalized populations and social change organizations and by encouraging discussion on classic and contemporary works of philosophy and theology. Placement at the Campus School offers an opportunity to learn and carry out programs alongside classroom staff. These include innovative techniques in educational, therapeutic, and health care delivery. PULSE students have the opportunity and experience of assisting in a classroom setting while developing their own understanding and caring about individuals with disabilities. PULSE students dedicate 10-12 hours a week at the Campus School assisting teachers and specialists with daily classroom and service team responsibilities.
4Boston is 自慰视频's largest weekly service organization. Volunteers serve four hours each week of the academic year with community partners in the social service, healthcare, or education sectors and engage in one hour of group reflection centered on community, social justice, and spirituality. Our Campus School 4Boston volunteers assist in a variety of ways including; special events, administrative support, and classroom projects.
The Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is an organization of the parents/guardians of Campus School students and staff members. The purpose of the PAG is to promote communication and understanding between families and the Campus School staff in order to enrich the experience of students at the Campus School. The PAG meets monthly to discuss a range of pertinent school-related matters with the school administration with a focus on programs and services.
Our Marathon Volunteers
In 2021, three runners joined a long list of athletes who have completed the Boston Marathon on behalf of the Campus School, raising more than $30,000.
