Grants
The Institute for the Liberal Arts at Boston College is accepting proposals for projects that will be funded during the 2025-2026 academic year in two categories: minor grants & major grants.
Major grant听proposals will be accepted starting September 15, 2024 ($2,500 to $25,000) for projects that will take place between June 1, 2025 - May 15, 2026. The Fall deadline for proposal submission is October 28, 2024, and decisions will be made by end of December 2024. The Spring deadline for proposal submission will be March 28, 2025, and decisions will be made by end of May 2025. We will continue to consider Minor Grant proposals for the current academic year.
We strongly advise that proposed event and conference dates should take into account important dates on campus, such as football games, parent weekend, and other important university dates. Please refer to the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 Dates to Avoid.
Minor grant proposals do not need as much lead time and may be submitted in the same semester that the project will be carried out.
Innovations in Graduate Education听proposals to pilot new programs that will improve graduate education at Boston College are due April 12, 2024.
Summer Internship for PhD Students: Boston College is piloting a summer internship program for PhD students in the humanities and qualitative social sciences sponsored by the Institute for the Liberal Arts, the Office of the Provost, and the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences.听 Given the current shortage of full-time academic teaching positions, these internships are designed to let PhD students explore possible non-professorial careers, learn more about how to make a transition to an 鈥淎lt-Ac鈥 career path, and provide work experience that will facilitate such a transition.
CW自慰视频 Colloquium Fellowships in keeping with the CW自慰视频 Colloquium mission, are designed to advance women鈥檚 leadership by providing funds to help offset the costs of an unpaid summer internship that either (1) provide a position with an organization (or part of an organization) focused on advancing issues related to women鈥檚 leadership, or (2) promote the leadership skills of individual women.
